The production samples of our first adaptive wear line finally arrived last week! Which means we are FINALLY ready to get product launch shots taken!
I know to you, dear reader, this might seem strange. Saying finally, without having been able to tell you everything that led up to today probably leaves a bit of a disconnect, but rest assured, we will get to all of the juicy background story of these gorgeous jackets soon.
Born from caring for my mom through the end of her life with Alzheimer's the Easeability Jacket has been a labor of love meant to make it easier for you to care for your aging parent or other abled family member.
It was so hard to find a good way to pick her up, and she got so frail toward the end of her life that it was shocking to the senses to realize just how little was left of her.
The handles on this jacket are meant to help to ease that shock as well as have a sure hold on your loved one when moving them from bed to wheelchair, or even as little as pulling them up to standing for those that just need a little additional help.
The discreet design is meant to make the handles disappear when not in use to maintain the dignity of the wearer and keep some of the looks away when in public.
But don't let the discretion fool you, they are securely double reinforced onto the jacket to ensure they stay put when moving your loved one. The thread used to attach them is meant for climbing gear, so we are talking about serious strength, just like that of the caretakers who show up everyday for their family.
Mom was always wearing a sweater, even in the summer. She was cold all the time. That's why it doesn't matter what time of year we are launching in, I knew the sweater was the right design to start with first.
You heard me right, we are just getting started. There is so much more to come.
There has been such an incredible amount of support from the community that we have built on Facebook and I am so grateful for the feedback and votes of confidence that I have received from you all.
That has kept me going, even though the road has been long and challenging. There has been so much to learn, but I am grateful for the incredibly talented and knowledgeable people that I have been able to connect with since having the idea for this Jacket. There will be more direct shoutouts for these great folks to come, but for now, you know who you are, and I am indebted to your kindness, professionalism, willingness to share of yourself, and shared vision for what the Easeability Jacket will be able to do for both wearer and caregiver alike.
Heading into this shoot, I am excited to finally see the jacket on a wearer and in action. I can't wait to show you all of the incredible footage and photos that we will surely get out of this.
Pre-orders will be opening up soon, and we look forward to fulfilling them as soon as we have product in hand. We know the first round of 500 won't last long with the buzz they have already started to create, so if you are thinking that you might want to get a first run for yourself, you will want to make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you are one of the first to know when they open for pre-sale.
To everyone caring for a loved one with limited mobility, we are sending you love and strength today and always. You are doing important work that is often invisible in our society. We see you.
With love and light,
Joey Corasio - Creator The Easeability Jacket - Founder Lucky Dad Brands
